Wisconsin Recall for The Progressive

In the current issue of The Progressive magazine, this illustration for a piece by Ruth Conniff about the special Wisconsin recall election. I had done the cover illustration a couple of months ago for a big piece about the efforts in Wisconsin to recall Governor Scott Walker, and this was a sort of follow-up on the aftermath. One of the most alarming developments in a sea of alarming developments in politics nowadays is the enormous amounts of money coming from clandestine groups representing the interests of corporations and the billionaires who run them, drowning out the message of those with smaller bank accounts. Hence the picture. It ran in black and white, but I also did it in color, just to see how it would look.
