Utne Reader Human Rights

Just got my copy of The Utne Reader, with several illustrations I did for a group of articles about human rights. This was one of those rare times when my sketches were pretty much my finals...and it felt great to to see the un-fussed and un-fidgeted art on the printed page. You know how you often think that your sketches are fresher and more vital than the final art? Well, this time I was given the freedom to let the original vision stand on its own, thanks to AD Stephanie Glaros.

Animation: SOPA Cleans Up the Internet for Hollywood

Congress will resume the so-called Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) hearings in January. This legislation, backed by Hollywood, the music industry and the US Chamber of Commerce, would give them the power to disappear websites they don't like, without due process, effectively giving them the ability to censor the web. Welcome to the future, wherein US megacorporations and their purchased politicians have the power to destroy the world wide web...
